The No. 2 Nebraska softball team shut out the Indiana Hoosiers, 5-0, on Friday evening in College Park, Md., to move on to the finals of the 2026 Big Ten Softball Tournament championship.
The Huskers improved to 45-6 on the season to advance to their third Big Ten championship game in tournament history.
Alexis Jensen (22-2) earned the win in the circle after throwing a two-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts. Jensen, along with the Big Red defense, shut out an Indiana offense that came into the contest averaging over eight runs per game.
Samantha Bland went 2-for-2 with an RBI, while Jordy Frahm added two hits and an RBI. Hannah Coor, Hannah Camenzind and Lauren Camenzind each accounted for an RBI and H. Camenzind and Ava Kuszak added a double.
NU opened up the scoring in the bottom of the first, as Coor bunt singled and scored on a H. Camenzind RBI double.
In the bottom of the fourth, Bland walked and went to second on a Hoffmann single. Hoffmann went to second on a throw to third and Kennadi Williams came in to pinch run. Bland scored on a L. Camenzind single and Williams crossed the plate on a Frahm single. L. Camenzind went home on a Coor sacrifice fly to extend the lead to 4-0.
Kuszak doubled to open the bottom of the fifth and scored on a Bland single.
Nebraska will face the winner of No. 3 seed UCLA vs. No. 7 seed Wisconsin tomorrow, May 9 at 3 p.m. (CT). The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network and can be heard across the Huskers Radio Network or on B107.3 FM.
