TIMELINE: When rain and storms impact Saturday plans
THE RAIN. THEY’RE JUST GOING IN AND POTENTIALLY LEAVING THAT COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY. BUT OVERALL IT’S DRY RIGHT NOW. WE EXPAND THE VIEW THOUGH, AND THE RAIN ISN’T FAR AWAY OUT HERE IN PARTS OF SOUTHERN INDIANA. KIND OF CENTRAL SOUTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS. YOU SEE THIS RAIN THAT’S KIND OF BUILDING UP A LITTLE BIT OF LIGHTNING WITH IT. THE BETTER STORMS A LITTLE BIT FURTHER OUT INTO PARTS OF IOWA, BUT THAT’S GOING TO BE MOVING OUR WAY FOR TODAY. AND WE’LL EVEN HAVE ANOTHER ROUND OF STORMS LATE THIS EVENING. I THINK SOME OF THOSE COULD POTENTIALLY TRY TO GET A LITTLE BIT STRONGER OUT THERE. THAT’S WHY THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS BASICALLY ALL OF OHIO, INDIANA AND KENTUCKY UNDER A MARGINAL RISK. THAT’S A LEVEL ONE OUT OF FIVE FOR ANY KIND OF STRONG STORMS. BUT IT IS GOING TO BE VERY LIMITED TODAY, KIND OF JUST A STORM OR TWO THAT COULD MAYBE HAVE SOME STRONGER WINDS WITH IT, BUT OTHERWISE SOME DECENT DOWNPOURS EXPECTED EVEN THROUGH THIS MORNING. SOME OF THESE SCATTERED SHOWERS COULD BE HEAVY AT TIMES. A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON. I THINK WE’LL HAVE MORE HIT AND MISS CHANCES. I THINK THAT WILL BE KIND OF OUR WINDOW TO GET OUTSIDE, MAYBE ENJOY THE DAY IF YOU CAN, AND THEN BY THIS EVENING, KIND OF ANOTHER ROUND OF THE SECONDARY ROUND OF RAIN AND STORMS GOING TO BE MOVING IN. SO FUTURECAST SHOWING THOSE SCATTERED SHOWERS THIS MORNING COULD HAVE SOME HEAVY DOWNPOURS IN IT AS WELL AS, AS I MENTIONED, A RUMBLE OF THUNDER CAN’T BE RULED OUT FOR THIS MORNING. THAT COULD MAYBE DELAY ANY OUTDOOR EVENTS. THEN AS WE HEAD INTO THE AFTERNOON, THIS IS WHERE OUR CHANCES BECOME A LOT MORE HIT AND MISS, AND WHERE I THINK WE’LL HAVE SOME DRY TIME HERE. SO WHETHER IT IS MAYFEST OR THE LPGA QUEEN CITY CHAMPIONSHIP HAPPENING AS WELL HERE IN CINCINNATI, ALL THE LADIES PLAYING GOLF SHOULD BE DECENT FOR THAT. JUST SOME RAIN THIS MORNING AS WE THEN HEAD INTO THIS EVENING. THAT’S WHERE OUR NEXT ROUND MOVES IN. SO AS WE’RE GETTING CLOSER TO ALMOST SIX, 7:00, 8:00, WE’LL SEE THE SHOWERS AND STORMS START TO MOVE INTO OUR AREA. THAT WILL CONTINUE INTO TONIGHT WITH A FEW RAIN CHANCES LINGERING INTO THE PREDAWN HOURS ON SUNDAY. BUT OTHERWISE, MOST YOUR SUNDAY LOOKING MUCH DRIER. SO BY THE TIME YOU’RE UP AND OUT THE DOOR FOR CHURCH BREAKFAST BRUNCH, I THINK MOST OF THE RAIN IS OUT OF HERE EARLY SUNDAY. IT’S JUST TODAY THAT WE HAVE TO WATCH FOR, AND THEN TEMPERATURES, SUMMER AIR COMING OUR WAY WITH MID 80S IN T
