The path to Roland-Garros continues this week as the Barcelona Open roars into life.
The Monte-Carlo Masters marked the start of the clay court season and some of the top players in men’s tennis have made the trip to Spain for more duels on the red dirt.
Carlos Alcaraz, who has dropped to No.2 in the world ranking after his defeat to Jannik Sinner in the Monte-Carlo final, will be the star attraction for the Spanish fans, but there is plenty of quality in the field to challenge him, including British duo Cameron Norrie and Jack Draper.
Norrie and Draper are both in action as the first round begins on Monday, while top seed Alcaraz begins his challenge tomorrow.
Holger Rune denied the Spaniard his third successive title last year, beating him in straight sets in the final, but the Dane won’t be back to defend his crown due to injury.
Clay court season is now in full swing, with the French Open edging closer, and fans can tune into extensive coverage of all the action from Real Club de Tenis Barcelona.
