Seven teams have clinched a playoff berth, and five teams have been mathematically eliminated.<\/p>\n<p>As for the other 20, their postseason plans remain in the air &#8212; and there&#8217;s also the matter of final playoff seeding to sort out.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday is another relatively heavy day on the NHL calendar, with 11 games on the schedule. Here are the six that will have the biggest impact on the postseason picture:<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline editorial float-r\" data-behavior=\"article_related\">\n<h2 class=\"editorial-title\">Editor&#8217;s Picks<\/h2>\n<p>2 Related<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"floatleft\" src=\"https:\/\/a.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=\/i\/teamlogos\/nhl\/500\/det.png&amp;h=110&amp;w=110\" width=\"50\"\/><\/p>\n<p><strong><a data-clubhouse-guid=\"724d5dd5-197c-6f1d-29ca-a0b4f25eb1b6\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nhl\/team\/_\/name\/cbj\/columbus-blue-jackets\">Columbus Blue Jackets<\/a> at <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"285ae6e1-8408-88cf-50ad-1a1e7be66658\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nhl\/team\/_\/name\/det\/detroit-red-wings\">Detroit Red Wings<\/a><br \/>7 p.m. ET (ESPN+)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t completely a &#8220;loser leaves town&#8221; match, but we&#8217;re getting close to that point for both clubs. (And to think, both of them seemed like locks at various times this season.) Both teams are just two points behind the Senators for the final Eastern Conference wild card, but both trail Ottawa in regulation wins (the first tiebreaker) by more games than they have left. So, they will need to be ahead in points, which is a tall task given how they&#8217;ve both performed lately. A regulation loss by either will be a major swing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"floatleft\" src=\"https:\/\/a.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=\/i\/teamlogos\/nhl\/500\/nsh.png&amp;h=110&amp;w=110\" width=\"50\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"floatleft\" src=\"https:\/\/a.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=\/i\/teamlogos\/nhl\/500\/ana.png&amp;h=110&amp;w=110\" width=\"50\"\/><\/p>\n<p><strong><a data-clubhouse-guid=\"d9088081-d43d-e521-3c19-d9b4fc1bc3ba\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nhl\/team\/_\/name\/nsh\/nashville-predators\">Nashville Predators<\/a> at <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"183c31f7-2eed-15c0-7fa1-a568d20bf3ad\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nhl\/team\/_\/name\/ana\/anaheim-ducks\">Anaheim Ducks<\/a><br \/>10 p.m. ET (ESPN+)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Predators have been battling the <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"47ce4014-1c1f-c67f-bfe6-ec95d5f57a87\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nhl\/team\/_\/name\/la\/los-angeles-kings\">Los Angeles Kings<\/a> and <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"8c0b5061-09c3-2e5c-529b-274a22d1b6bb\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nhl\/team\/_\/name\/sj\/san-jose-sharks\">San Jose Sharks<\/a> for the second wild card in the West. Following Monday&#8217;s games, the Preds are a point behind the Kings with 82 points and 26 regulation wins through 77 games, with the Sharks (81 points, 25 RW through 76 games) right there.<\/p>\n<p>On the other side, the Ducks are no longer the &#8220;surprising Ducks&#8221; anymore, and they still have a shot to claim the Pacific Division title. They enter Tuesday&#8217;s game tied with the Oilers in standings points, but with six fewer regulation wins (with fewer than six games remaining); they&#8217;ll need to finish with more points than Edmonton to take the crown.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"floatleft\" src=\"https:\/\/a.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=\/i\/teamlogos\/nhl\/500\/edm.png&amp;h=110&amp;w=110\" width=\"50\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"floatleft\" src=\"https:\/\/a.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=\/i\/teamlogos\/nhl\/500\/utah.png&amp;h=110&amp;w=110\" width=\"50\"\/><\/p>\n<p><strong><a data-clubhouse-guid=\"c78600f3-cea1-f6e0-11cf-dfeefe1897ff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nhl\/team\/_\/name\/edm\/edmonton-oilers\">Edmonton Oilers<\/a> at <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"f7e8115e-e00b-315d-8018-d2b38e4f420a\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nhl\/team\/_\/name\/utah\/utah-mammoth\">Utah Mammoth<\/a><br \/>9:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking of the Oilers, they do hold the RW tiebreaker over the Ducks but would like to salt away the division title on points alone if possible. At stake for the division winner? A first-round matchup against these very same Utah Mammoth, who are poised to bring postseason hockey to the Beehive State for the first time in its 130-year history.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"floatleft\" src=\"https:\/\/a.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=\/i\/teamlogos\/nhl\/500\/phi.png&amp;h=110&amp;w=110\" width=\"50\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"floatleft\" src=\"https:\/\/a.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=\/i\/teamlogos\/nhl\/500\/nj.png&amp;h=110&amp;w=110\" width=\"50\"\/><\/p>\n<p><strong><a data-clubhouse-guid=\"68aba012-4e93-9371-6861-1bb9a63cfb11\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nhl\/team\/_\/name\/phi\/philadelphia-flyers\">Philadelphia Flyers<\/a> at <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"beb0cb35-4d9f-a5e8-9e7b-d5ca97e51d93\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nhl\/team\/_\/name\/nj\/new-jersey-devils\">New Jersey Devils<\/a><br \/>7 p.m. ET (ESPN)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Like an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=t1XzYMQkXDU\">RKO<\/a>, the Flyers&#8217; playoff push came &#8220;outta nowhere,&#8221; and they begin play Tuesday as the Metro Division&#8217;s No. 3 seed. But they are anything but secure in that spot with three teams within three points of them &#8212; all of which have higher regulation win totals. And though they are tied with the Senators in the potential wild-card race, they are 10 RW behind Ottawa. In other words, Philly needs all the standings points it can get.<\/p>\n<p>As for the Devils, they have already reached 40 wins this season, but are on the edge of mathematical elimination thanks to too many regulation losses. But as of Tuesday, they are in a playoff spot thanks to a recent 6-3-1 run, and are in the driver&#8217;s seat when it comes to the regulation wins tiebreaker, with 34.
