The hearing will determine whether he will be released from federal custody following last week\u2019s kidnapping and robbery arrest.<\/p>\n<h2 data-v-f1afc186=\"\">Pooh Shiesty Arrest<\/h2>\n<p> <!----><\/p>\n<div original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KDFW\" class=\"full-width-image\" data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\" data-v-f1afc186=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.foxtv.com\/static.fox4news.com\/www.fox4news.com\/content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/932\/524\/s-steven-dallas-doj-arrest-4p_00.00.21.32.jpg?ve=1&amp;tl=1\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\"\/> <\/div>\n<p> <!----> <!----><\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KDFW\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-f1afc186=\"\">The backstory:<\/p>\n<p> <!----><\/p>\n<p data-v-f1afc186=\"\">Lontrell Williams Jr., whose rap name is Pooh Shiesty, his father Lontrell Williams Sr., rapper BIG30, and six defendants were all charged with kidnapping and robbery in connection with an incident that happened back in January at a Dallas recording studio.<\/p>\n<p> <!----> <!----><\/p>\n<p data-v-f1afc186=\"\">Williams Jr. had a recording deal with Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane under The New 1017 Records label.<\/p>\n<p> <!----><\/p>\n<p data-v-f1afc186=\"\">The FBI said Williams Jr. set up a meeting with Gucci Mane in Dallas, and then held him at gunpoint with an AK-style pistol while demanding to be released from his contract.<\/p>\n<p> <!----><\/p>\n<p data-v-f1afc186=\"\">The federal investigators said they were able to track Williams Jr. from his ankle monitor. He was supposed to be on home confinement for a 2022 federal case of conspiracy and drug trafficking.<\/p>\n<p> <!----><\/p>\n<p data-v-f1afc186=\"\">Photos of the suspects were posted on social media, according to the FBI. They\u2019re also accused of stealing watches, jewelry, and cash from Gucci Mane and his associates.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <!----><\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KDFW\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-f1afc186=\"\">What&#8217;s new:<\/p>\n<p> <!----><\/p>\n<p data-v-f1afc186=\"\">On Monday, a federal judge in Memphis granted bond to Williams Sr. and planned to release him to home confinement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <!----><\/p>\n<p data-v-f1afc186=\"\">But the United States Attorney in North Texas protested and filed a motion to try to keep him in custody.<\/p>\n<p> <!----><\/p>\n<h2 data-v-f1afc186=\"\">Pooh Shiesty in Jail<\/h2>\n<p> <!----><\/p>\n<div original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KDFW\" class=\"full-width-image\" data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\" data-v-f1afc186=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.foxtv.com\/static.fox4news.com\/www.fox4news.com\/content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/932\/524\/040126-whbq-pooh-shiesty-fbi-raid_mxf_00.00.34.22.jpg?ve=1&amp;tl=1\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\"\/> <\/div>\n<p> <!----><\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KDFW\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-f1afc186=\"\">What they&#8217;re saying:<\/p>\n<p> <!----><\/p>\n<p data-v-f1afc186=\"\">An attorney representing Williams Jr. said they are looking forward to Wednesday\u2019s hearing.<\/p>\n<p> <!----><\/p>\n<p data-v-f1afc186=\"\">&#8220;We will have his dentition and probable cause hearing tomorrow.
