COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. (WINK) \u2014 Florida Forestry and Greater Naples Fire are on scene, combating a 1,000-acre brush fire at the\u00a0Picayune Strand State Forest.<\/p>\n

According to the Collier County Sheriff\u2019s Office, crews are working the active brush fire located on Newman Drive near Beck Boulevard on Monday.<\/p>\n

The Weather Authority is also closely monitoring conditions.<\/p>\n

Meteorologists Lauren Kreidler and\u00a0Josh Green say Collier County and much of Southwest Florida are under a moderate risk of fire danger on Monday due to breezy winds, dry air, and low humidity. Easterly winds could push smoke westward toward Naples and surrounding communities throughout this evening.<\/p>\n

In addition, the\u00a0Florida Forest Service say\u00a0current winds are pushing westward, which may lead to smoky conditions along Collier Boulevard south of Interstate 75.<\/p>\n

Caution is advised for people within the area.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office aviation unit has been deployed, dropping buckets of water on the brush fire.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0WatchDuty.org<\/a>, 15% of the fire has been contained.<\/p>\n

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has begun to evacuate several streets due to the brush fire.<\/p>\n

The following streets have been evacuated:<\/p>\n
