Brooke Hogan<\/strong><\/a> reflected on the difficult, fraught end of her father Hulk Hogan<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s life \u2014 and emotionally discussed where things stand now with her mother, Linda<\/strong>, and brother, Nick<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly<\/i>, Brooke, 37 \u2014 who acknowledged she \u201cdidn\u2019t speak\u201d to her father for \u201ctwo years\u201d before he died in July 2025<\/a> \u2014 recalled how her vocal distaste for Hulk\u2019s inner circle ultimately led to their estrangement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe said, \u2018You go this way, I go that way,\u2019\u201d said Brooke, who stars on season 7 of HGTV\u2019s Rock the Block<\/i>. \u201cThat hurt. I think that\u2019s what makes me the most annoying member of my family. They know that I will just beat you up until you do the right thing. I could see what was happening with him with the people around him. I could also see his potential and see how life could be. And he just wasn\u2019t there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Brooke continued, \u201cI was pregnant with my twins. I was newly married. I just had to take a break.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Brooke Hogan Releases Emotional New Song Inspired by Her Late Father Hulk Hogan<\/a><\/p>\n

Brooke welcomed twins Oliver<\/strong> and Molly<\/strong> in January 2025 with her husband, former NHL player Steve Oleksy<\/strong>, whom she married in June 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hulk died after suffering a heart attack at his home in Florida. He was 71 years old.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if we would have ever reconnected, even if he were alive, because of the mindset he was in,\u201d Brooke said. \u201cHe would have had to have a change of mindset and a change of company. I don\u2019t know if he was there. I don\u2019t know if he was willing to do that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

At the time of his death, Hulk was married to his third wife, Sky Daily<\/strong>. The pair tied the knot in September 2023, however, Brooke did not mention Daily by name.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYou feel so powerless,\u201d Brooke said of those final years. \u201cIt\u2019s such a tangled web, too. It\u2019s dangerous talking about, criticizing certain people. You just kind of have to shut up and let people make their own decisions because it was becoming too gnarly.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

As the one-year anniversary of Hulk\u2019s death approaches, Brooke can now, at least partially, look at the events that transpired through a bit of a bittersweet lens.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m glad he\u2019s out of pain. I know he was in a lot of pain,\u201d Brooke said about her father. \u201cIn a weird way, I feel like I have a better relationship with him now. I find myself just talking to him and saying all the things I wish I could have said.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cHe was kind of tough. It was hard to have tender moments with him because he just didn\u2019t want to talk about it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

While Brooke has managed to find peace with her late father, the same cannot be said for her relationship with her mother, Linda<\/a>, with whom she had a public falling out last year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In March 2025, Linda posted via her Instagram Story that Brooke \u201cdoesn\u2019t talk to us\u201d and claimed her daughter \u201cdidn\u2019t tell us\u201d when she got married or had her twins.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Brooke responded via Instagram, explaining the decision to cut off her parents<\/a> came after she had allegedly been \u201cverbally and mentally abused since childhood.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s a really tough one,\u201d Brooke said. \u201cI\u2019m always like, \u2018I didn\u2019t ask for this. Please stop bringing me into it.\u2019 And then somehow I always get brought into it. When it started to be things that weren\u2019t true, I was like, \u2018That\u2019s not true.\u2019 No child wants to not have their parents. It has to be serious enough to make that decision.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Brooke said Linda recently sent a text to her husband, Steve, that was \u201cso cruel and so brutal that if there was any chance at reconciliation, that shut the door completely.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know why a family of mine would hate me when they know my heart,\u201d Brooke pondered. \u201cIt\u2019s crazy. The divorce [between Hulk and Linda, which was finalized in 2009] caused a lot of triangulation. You\u2019re dealing with two people who were probably soulmates, but with a lot of love comes a lot of hate.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI do think, as crazy as it was, my parents were 100 percent soulmates and they both absolutely spiraled once they lost each other. Their crazy was each other\u2019s crazy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Brooke explained that her relationship with her younger brother, Nick<\/a>, managed to get caught in the crossfire.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe saddest thing about broken families is the siblings,\u201d Brooke said. \u201cThe siblings suffer the most because you\u2019re always forced to take a side. Nick and I, even though we had the same parents, we had two very different upbringings and two very different experiences. That is one thing my parents always said: \u2018You guys are siblings, you always have to have each other\u2019s back.\u2019 No matter what trouble my brother gets into, no matter what he does or who he is, that\u2019s my brother.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She added, \u201cEven if we don\u2019t talk \u2014 because I haven\u2019t felt supported by him in times where I really needed to feel that, sometimes I feel like he saw the same things I did and wouldn\u2019t be a united front, that\u2019s the thing that hurts me the most \u2014 but my brother is a very kind person. He\u2019s very smart. He loves animals. There\u2019s just so many great things about him and so many things that I love.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Optimistically, Brooke concluded, \u201cThat\u2019s my little brother and that will never change. He\u2019s got a big sister \u2018til the end.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

While family drama continues to sort itself out, Brooke is making major strides in her professional career on the 7th season of HGTV\u2019s Rock the Block<\/i>, which pairs top designers with celebrities, like Brooke, who share a passion for design.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI got a lot of flack when people found out I was going to be on Rock the Block<\/i> right after my dad had passed,\u201d Brooke admitted. \u201cBut what they didn\u2019t know is that I had already signed the deal. We were already in talks for a long time before my dad passed. It wasn\u2019t like I was just jumping on the train.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

With the help of her childhood best friend and Brooke Knows Best <\/i>costar, Ashley Menendez<\/strong>, Brooke launched Nashville interior design firm BB Designs by Brooke in 2018.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI grinded, it was really hard,\u201d Brooke said of becoming an entrepreneur. \u201cRock the Block<\/i> was like a medal of honor. I think any designer would be like, \u2018Hell yeah.\u2019 This shows I\u2019ve got the chops. They\u2019re actually taking me seriously. It was really cool to get that call.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
