The league signed a new 11-year, $76 billion-plus media rights deal in 2024 that kicked in at the start of this season.<\/p>\n<p>Other highlights of the viewership numbers:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 NBA games across ABC\/ESPN, Amazon Prime Video, NBC\/Peacock and NBA TV had the highest average viewership in 13 years, up 35% over last season.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline editorial float-r\" data-behavior=\"article_related\">\n<h2 class=\"editorial-title\">Editor&#8217;s Picks<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a name=\"&amp;lpos=story:editorspicks:inline:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/story\/_\/id\/48490511\/amazon-prime-stream-cuts-ot-heat-hornets-play-game\" class=\"img-link\"><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a name=\"&amp;lpos=story:editorspicks:inline:2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/story\/_\/id\/48476034\/2026-nba-playoff-predicting-series-including-finals\" class=\"img-link\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=\/photo\/2026\/0413\/r1642927_1296x1296_1-1.jpg&amp;w=130&amp;h=130&amp;scale=crop&amp;location=center\" width=\"65\" height=\"65\"\/><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>1 Related<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u2022 A total of 57 telecasts reached an average of 2 million viewers, the most since 2011-12.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 People watched NBA games for more than 920 million hours, up 25% over last season and the most since 2011-12.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The NBA&#8217;s social media channels generated a record 228 billion views, according to Videocites.
