Wheel of Fortune<\/a><\/em> fans do not want to be buddies with the game show<\/a> after that Bonus Round puzzle. A contestant lost out on taking home a car after not solving a confusing puzzle that viewers called \u201cbogus\u201d and \u201cold-timey.\u201d<\/p>\n Jim Spallina<\/a>, from Chicago, Illinois, returned for his second game on April 9. He won $13,800 the day before. All April long, the night\u2019s previous winner returns for a chance at more money, and they can continue until they lose.<\/p>\n On Thursday, Tucker Dunn, from Alhambra, California, solved the first toss-up. The red-headed man with blue eyes has a friendly debate with his wife about which midwestern state has the best beef and steaks.<\/p>\n Spallina and Dunn played against Ally Metcalf, from Memphis, Texas, on April 9. Dunn also solved the second toss-up, giving him $3,000.<\/p>\n He also solved the first puzzle \u2014 \u201cListening To My Walkman\u201d \u2014 for $9,500. Spallina and Metcalf, a woman who was born in London and spent most of her childhood in Dubai, both landed on Bankrupt on the \u201cBefore & After\u201d puzzle. This paved the way for Dunn to solve \u201cBarbeque Pit Stop\u201d after solving only two letters. He continued in the lead with $10,900.<\/p>\n Spallina tried to solve the Prize Puzzle, saying \u201cBring Out Your Itinerary,\u201d but he was wrong. Once Metcalf guessed a few more letters, she correctly solved \u201cPrint Out Your Itinerary.\u201d She won a trip to Puerto Rico, putting her in the lead with $15,200.<\/p>\n Metcalf solved two of the three Triple Toss-ups. Spallina finally got on the board when he solved the third one. The returning champion solved \u201cBite-Size Candy\u201d for the final puzzle, giving him a total of $7,700. This gave him a two-day total of $21,500.<\/p>\n Dunn left with $10,000. Metcalf won the game and moved on to her second game with a total of $19,200. She chose \u201cPeople\u201d for the Bonus Round and brought her husband, Ryan, with her.<\/p>\n Metcalf was given \u201cR,S,T,L,N, and E\u201d to start her off. She chose \u201cM,D,P, and A\u201d to round out her puzzle. Before the game show contestant solved, the puzzle looked like \u201c_ _ _MM_\u00a0 \u00a0_ _DD_ES.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cOh God,\u201d she said as the clock counted down. Metcalf thought the last word might have been \u201cPaddles.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a tricky one,\u201d host Ryan Seacrest<\/a> said, after she didn\u2019t solve \u201cChummy Buddies.\u201d Metcalf lost out on taking home a Ford, but got a second chance on Friday\u2019s episode.<\/p>\n Fans criticized the Bonus Round puzzle, saying they never heard of the word \u201cChummy.\u201d \u201cThat bonus puzzle, wtf man?\u201d a Reddit<\/a> user said.<\/p>\n \u201cSeriously!! Chummy buddies?! Who would ever think of that?\u201d a fan replied.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s kind of old-timey,\u201d a third said.<\/p>\n \u201cEven Ryan was like yeah I mean no one was getting that one lol,\u201d a fan said.<\/p>\n \u201cAnother one of those puzzles where they put some words together, but nobody ever actually says those words together.
