INDEPENDENCE \u2014 Cleveland sports fans<\/a> and the family of Jaylon and Jordyn Tyson<\/a> have something in common on Thursday, April 23.<\/p>\n

The Cavaliers<\/a> and Toronto Raptors<\/a> are scheduled to tip off Game 3 of their best-of-seven first-round playoff series at 8 p.m. \u2014 the same time the 2026 NFL Draft<\/a> is slated to begin.<\/p>\n

Jaylon Tyson<\/a> is a second-year Cavs wing who will be in Toronto trying to help Cleveland extend its series lead to 3-0. His younger brother, Jordyn<\/a>, is a wide receiver who’s expected to be drafted by an NFL franchise in the first round out of Arizona State.<\/p>\n

If you feel as if you’re being pulled in different directions amid the scheduling conflict, just imagine how the Tyson family is dealing with the conundrum.<\/p>\n

“It’s a big game for us,” Jaylon Tyson said. “I’m super grateful that he\u2019s going to be able to share this day. As soon as the game’s over, I’ll be able to celebrate with him, but I\u2019ve got a task at hand that I\u2019ve got to handle.\u201d<\/p>\n

Coach Kenny Atkinson, who has seven brothers<\/a>, said the Cavs will ensure Jaylon Tyson is told during Game 3 which NFL team drafts Jordyn Tyson.<\/p>\n

“I know it’s playoffs, but that’s your family and your brother, so we’re going to get that to him,” Atkinson said April 22 after practice at Cleveland Clinic Courts.<\/p>\n
