That&#8217;s significantly lower than its forecast for earnings of $1.70 to $2.70 per share in January.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shares of American Airlines are down more than 8% since the start of the U.S.-Iran war, when the surge in energy prices began. Riley Wealth. &#8220;For most of the earnings reporting season over the course of the last two weeks, there had been a shift in focus from the macro concerns about geopolitics to the micro reporting on a company by company basis, which was a positive.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But, there&#8217;s just so long that we can ignore some of the headlines coming out of the conflict,&#8221; Hogan said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The scary part about all of this is actually one well-placed social media post can shift that sentiment pretty quickly.
