{"id":114916,"date":"2026-04-25T09:05:03","date_gmt":"2026-04-25T12:05:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ubirataonline.com.br\/target-of-action-news-investigation-agrees-to-settlement-with-pennsylvania-attorney-general\/"},"modified":"2026-04-25T09:05:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T12:05:09","slug":"target-of-action-news-investigation-agrees-to-settlement-with-pennsylvania-attorney-general","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ubirataonline.com.br\/en\/target-of-action-news-investigation-agrees-to-settlement-with-pennsylvania-attorney-general\/","title":{"rendered":"Target of Action News Investigation Agrees to settlement with Pennsylvania attorney general"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div data-testid=\"prism-article-body\">\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao MvWXB TjIXL aGjvy ebVHC\">The target <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE\" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/6abc.com\/post\/mv-realty-homeowner-benefit-program-selling-home-help-philadelphia-lawsuit\/12529841\/\">of an Action News Investigation in 2022<\/a> has agreed to a settlement with the Pennsylvania Attorney General&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy\">Florida-based MV Realty was accused of offering homeowners, many of whom are low-income, a few hundred bucks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy\">In return, the company would get exclusive rights for the opportunity to sell the properties for a 3% commission.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy\">But many homeowners claim they were unaware there was a 40-year life to the agreement, and mortgages were placed on their homes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy\">They would also be forced to pay the fee in the event they transferred properties to loved ones.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy\">&#8220;I could&#8217;ve jumped out of the chair and did a little dance,&#8221; said Latrelle Fuller to Action News Investigative Reporter Chad Pradelli upon learning of the settlement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy\">We first met her in 2022 after she entered into an agreement with MV Realty for $500.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy\">She says she was unable to get a home equity loan on her paid-off house because of MV Realty&#8217;s mortgage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy\">Her neighbor, Carolyn Brown, had to pay $6,000 dollars to MV Realty to get a loan on her home. But then in May, she started second-guessing her decision.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy\">He says the Action News Investigation led to his office taking action by his predecessor, now-Governor Josh Shapiro.
