An unruly passenger caused an international flight from Germany to Chicago <\/b>to be diverted to Boston on Monday, police said. <\/span><\/p>\n U.S. Customs officials took the passenger into custody at Logan International Airport after they were dispatched by Massport at 9:34 a.m., Massachusetts State Police said.<\/span><\/p>\n The passenger, who was not publicly identified, declined medical attention at the gate after being removed from the United Airlines flight. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The passenger was later transported to Mass General Hospital, police said.<\/span><\/p>\n State Police Trooper Leah O\u2019Connell said the individual had been restrained but was cooperative when troopers boarded the plane. <\/span><\/p>\n O\u2019Connell did not provide more details about the passenger\u2019s conduct but said an investigation is underway. <\/span><\/p>\n State Police will issue the passenger a summons to court at a later date, the agency said.<\/span><\/p>\n In a statement, United Airlines said the plane landed safely in Boston to address a disruptive passenger and that the flight was expected to depart for Chicago on Monday afternoon.
