Oklahoma softball<\/a> has clinched a share of the SEC regular-season title.<\/p>\n\n

The\u00a0No. 1-ranked Sooners defeated No. 12 Texas A&M<\/a> 4-3 Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader. OU was upset by the Aggies 8-5 in the first game<\/a> of the series, which was suspended Thursday before resuming Friday.<\/p>\n

The Sooners collected only five hits in the win compared to Texas A&M’s seven.<\/p>\n

Kasidi Pickering singled to right field in the fourth inning, scoring Chaney Helton to give the Sooners (47-7, 19-4) their first run of the day. Then, Abby Dayton reached on a fielder’s choice, scoring Kendall Wells before Lexi McDaniel singled to center field to score Pickering to cap a three-run frame.<\/p>\n

Wells, OU’s freshman superstar<\/a>,\u00a0still needs two home runs to set the all-time NCAA single-season home run record. She was 0 for 2 with two walks Friday and 1 for 1 with three walks Saturday.<\/p>\n\n

Miali Guachino earned the start and held the Aggies scoreless through four innings. She allowed three runs in the fifth before being replaced by Audrey Lowry, who worked out of jams in the sixth and seventh to secure the win.<\/p>\n\n

The Sooners and Aggies<\/a> meet in the series finale<\/a> at 4 p.m. on ESPN.<\/p>\n

Following a two-hit game one, Minor tripled down the right field line to score Ailana Agbayani and put OU up 4-3.<\/p>\n

Texas A&M’s power showed up in the fifth.<\/p>\n

The Aggies evened things with two homers \u2014 a two-run shot from Kennedy Powell and a solo home run by Tallen Edwards.<\/p>\n\n

Oklahoma’s bats woke up in the fourth.<\/p>\n

Despite only collecting three hits thus far, the Sooners lead the Aggies 3-0 after four innings.<\/p>\n

Following a rough outing Friday, Miali Guachino has looked solid with two strikeouts, only two hits allowed and zero earned runs.<\/p>\n
