Cedar Point’s Tony Clark says a fix is in the works to replace the shorter seat belts.<\/p>\n
SANDUSKY, Ohio \u2014 When Cedar Point<\/a> opened for the 2026 season earlier this month, conversation started swirling on social media after some riders said they could no longer fit on the Millennium Force roller coaster<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n Some claimed the ride\u2019s seat belts had been shortened from last year, limiting their ability to climb aboard the coaster.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n RELATED: Cedar Point ranked on top 10 lists for best theme park, roller coaster, hotel and restaurant: See where the park landed in the USA TODAY fan vote<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n While some doubted if this was true, Cedar Point spokesperson Tony Clark has now set the record straight, telling 3News the seat belts are, in fact, shorter this year.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n But a fix is in the works.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \u201cRegarding Millennium Force, the ride\u2019s manufacturer (Intamin) directly supplies the seat belts to Cedar Point, and it has been identified that they are shorter than the manufacturer\u2019s specifications,\u201d he told 3News in an email. \u201cWe are working with them to replace the belts in the coming weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n He also shared the same statement on X.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n Update on Millennium Force:<\/p>\n The ride\u2019s manufacturer (Intamin) directly supplies the seat belts to Cedar Point, and it has been identified that they are shorter than the manufacturer\u2019s specifications. <\/p>\n We are working with them to replace the belts in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n\n
