<\/a> <\/div>\nMUMBAI \u2014 Music composer Sajid Khan said he narrowly escaped serious injury after a powerful cricket ball nearly struck him during an Indian Premier League match.<\/p>\n
Khan, best known as part of the composer duo Sajid-Wajid, shared a video of himself wearing a Punjab Kings jersey, with his forearm and leg bandaged. He said he suffered minor scratches and swelling after the incident during the Punjab Kings match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday, I faced a big problem. You can see this. I hit the ball very hard, and the ball was peeled off. And I hit the ball here. Yes, of course, it was a big scene. Actually, what happened was that the ball was coming exactly to me, and I could see. I could see the ball was lying on the ground,\u201d Khan said in the video.<\/p>\n
He said he initially thought he could catch the ball, but his foot got caught in the chair as he tried to stand.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, when I saw it, I thought, \u2018I have the catch.\u2019 So, I stood up to catch the ball. But I was sitting on the chair, so my left foot got stuck in the chair,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Khan said the ball was headed toward his face when he decided to jump out of the way.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I got stuck in the chair, I became crooked, and the ball was in front of my face. I have seen so many movies. I have done so many movies. I got so much brain. \u2018Jump,\u2019 I said. \u2018Don\u2019t think. Just jump.\u2019 I said, \u2018Jumping won\u2019t hurt so much if the ball got stuck on my head or on my chest,\u2019\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The composer said the decision helped him avoid a major injury.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut then, you won\u2019t believe, I really got saved. Anyway, there was a little scratch. I got hurt here. It\u2019s a little painful. It\u2019s okay. But the ball got stuck on the rod above my seat, on the seat, and the ball got torn,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He said the force of the ball showed how dangerous the incident could have been.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust imagine how much force it was coming with. And if I had missed it, if I had gotten hurt, then my work would have been done. Anyway, I got saved,\u201d Khan said.<\/p>\n
Khan said his injuries were minor and added that he was doing fine.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not a big injury. It\u2019s a little here, and a little here. And it\u2019s a little swollen here. It\u2019s hurting. But then, it\u2019s okay. Your brother is strong, and everything is fine. I know a lot of my videos are going viral,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople are making fun of me a lot. If you guys were there, your air would have become tight. I got saved somehow. But, I love you all, and no worries. I am fine. Thank you,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Sajid-Wajid first composed music for Salman Khan\u2019s Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya in 1998. The duo went on to score music for several films and also composed Sonu Nigam\u2019s 1999 album Deewaana.<\/p>\n
They worked on several Salman Khan films and composed the IPL 4 theme song \u201cDhoom Dhoom Dhoom Dhadaka,\u201d with Wajid singing the title track.<\/p>\n
