For the first time in Oreo history, the cookies will feature purple wafers to honor BTS\u2019 signature color with 13 different embossment designs. According to a press release, BTS designed each of the unique cookie embossments in honor of their upcoming 13th anniversary this June.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn Korea, there\u2019s a national snack called hotteok,\u201d Jin explained in a series of members\u2019 quotes provided by Oreo. \u201cWe wanted to share with everyone the kinds of dessert flavors Koreans enjoy.\u201d J-hope added that the cookie genuinely delivers the classic street food known throughout Korea: \u201cIt really has that flavor, so it\u2019s fascinating.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The exterior of the cookie is equally considered. The purple wafers will specifically honor the bond with fans, known as ARMY, with 13 unique embossments designed by BTS including individual member names, a BTS light stick, and three cookies that together form a hidden message fans can only decode by collecting the full set. (Spoiler alert: You can see the full set of designs in images shared by Oreo below.) Jimin specifically commented on the look of the new collab, saying, \u201cOf course the taste matters, but it\u2019s also really pretty. They made it really well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor OREO to be the first snacking brand we\u2019ve collaborated with globally is a huge honor,\u201d BTS said in a press release statement. &#8220;We ate them as kids, we eat them in the studio, and now OREO is helping us share a taste of home with the world. We\u2019re just so proud to add our own chapter to OREO\u2019s amazing story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And for BTS leader RM, the collaboration taps into something personal for the group as they recorded their highly anticipated comeback album <em>Arirang<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe ate quite a lot during this song camp,\u201d he said of the group\u2019s recording process for their latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/hughmcintyre\/2026\/05\/04\/bts-ties-its-own-hit-for-a-historic-win-among-k-pop-groups\/\" data-ga-track=\"InternalLink:https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/hughmcintyre\/2026\/05\/04\/bts-ties-its-own-hit-for-a-historic-win-among-k-pop-groups\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"chart-topping LP\">chart-topping LP<\/a>. \u201cWhen we were working in the studio, there would be OREOs next to us. It\u2019s also a snack we\u2019ve eaten since we were young.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Oreo\u2019s VP of Marketing Matt Foley framed the partnership in terms of fan community-building: \u201cAt its core, this partnership is about shared passion. We\u2019re uniting BTS\u2019s incredibly dedicated fanbase with our own loyal OREO fans to create something genuinely new and exciting. It\u2019s this commitment to uniting our fanbases that keeps us at the forefront of pop culture and demonstrates how a brand with a rich history can continue to lead the conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That fan element will also get its own activation. Starting June 8, fans can scan the QR code on the Oreo packaging or visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.us.oreobts.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.us.oreobts.com\/\" aria-label=\"us.OREOBTS.com\">us.OREOBTS.com<\/a> to contribute to what Oreo is calling \u201cthe world\u2019s largest love letter to BTS\u201d \u2014 a global, crowd-sourced digital letter built from fan submissions with contributors eligible to win exclusive OREO brand and BTS prizes. The love letter element is also particularly special for BTS and ARMY, as the entire <em>Arirang<\/em> campaign initially kicked off with BTS asking fans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/laurasirikul\/2026\/02\/16\/bts-arirang-promo-whatisyourlovesong-hits-seoul-london-ny-and-la\/\" data-ga-track=\"InternalLink:https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/laurasirikul\/2026\/02\/16\/bts-arirang-promo-whatisyourlovesong-hits-seoul-london-ny-and-la\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"#WhatIsYourLoveSong in a mysterious, global campaign\">#WhatIsYourLoveSong in a mysterious, global campaign<\/a> \u2014 a love that continues to this day.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside massive brands like Disney and Pok\u00e9mon, BTS joins an elusive roster of musicians who have collaborated on their own Oreo flavors, following the likes of Selena Gomez and Post Malone. J-Hope commented specifically on that legacy, adding, \u201cWhen I look at the history of the collaborations they\u2019ve done, it really makes me feel proud that we\u2019re being added to that history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The limited edition OREO x BTS Cookies are available for pre-sale starting June 1 at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.OREO.com\/UnwrapTheCollab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.oreo.com\/UnwrapTheCollab\" aria-label=\"OREO.com\/UnwrapTheCollab\">OREO.com\/UnwrapTheCollab<\/a>, with a retail rollout beginning June 8, priced at $5.49 per pack.
