Darin Brooks<\/a> will celebrate his birthday in a very special way this year \u2014 by returning to The Bold and the Beautiful<\/a><\/em> as Wyatt Spencer on Wednesday, May 27<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI saw the script, and I was like, \u2018OK, shooting this day \u2026 air date May 27,\u2019 and was like, \u2018Wait, that\u2019s really cool,\u2019\u201d Brooks begins. \u201cI\u2019m a firm believer in signs, and the universe presents you things, and everything happens for a reason, and I just took that as one of those things of like, \u2018Alright, this is meant to be, and let\u2019s have some fun.\u2019 I got super excited, and I am super excited, to jump back into the Wyatt character.\u201d<\/p>\n Brooks joined the soap in June 2013 and last appeared in January 2024. When TV Insider caught up with him in February<\/a>, Brooks indicated that he was in preliminary talks with B&B<\/em>\u2018s executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell<\/a>, about going back and had visited the soap\u2019s new studio space.<\/p>\n \u201cWe had just been chatting,\u201d Brooks explains. \u201cBrad got lunch for everybody, and he was like, \u2018Come down for a Pink\u2019s hot dog and see the stages.\u2019 And I went down, and I saw everything, and it was great, and everybody was like, \u2018Oh, my God, are you coming back?\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018Well, I don\u2019t know yet. We still got to talk about it.\u2019 And we went up to Brad\u2019s office, and he shut the door, and he was like, \u2018So you want to come back? \u2026 You\u2019re obviously loved here, and we would love to have some comedy on the show again.\u2019 We had a couple more discussions, and then it took shape from there.\u201d<\/p>\n Revisiting the soap after time away, during which he starred in the movie The Roaring Game<\/a><\/em>, gave Brooks a new perspective. \u201cI get to come back with some fresh eyes,\u201d he notes. \u201cThe studio is bigger, so there are more setups, and it\u2019s awesome. It\u2019s got a new feel, it\u2019s got a new vibe, but just jumping back into it was like riding a bike again. I\u2019ve been doing it for so long that it\u2019s just second nature.\u201d<\/p>\n He says he was eager to spend time with his B&B<\/em> family again. \u201cHonestly, I couldn\u2019t wait to reconnect with, Don [Diamont<\/a>, Bill Spencer] and Scott [Clifton<\/a>, Liam Spencer], and meet Crew [Morrow<\/a>, Will Spencer, Wyatt\u2019s half-brother] and work with Crew and Heather [Tom<\/a>, Katie Logan] and everybody,\u201d Brooks shares. \u201cWhen they had the party for the [B&B<\/em>] app launch [In March], it was great reconnecting with Ash Brewer<\/a> [Ivy Forrester, who is on maternity leave], and I\u2019m so happy for her. We were reminiscing about Ivy and Wyatt, and that could be interesting. We shall see.\u201d<\/p>\n Working with Diamont and Clifton was especially fun after so much time apart. \u201cOh, it\u2019s jumping back into the Three Stooges,\u201d he muses. \u201cWe\u2019re a pain in the ass to work with, because we just joke the whole time and crack up the set, and the directors are like, \u2018Okay, just let them have a couple seconds and get it out.\u2019 And then it\u2019s, \u2018Let\u2019s go, come on, we got to shoot,\u2019 and we\u2019re like, \u2018Okay, sorry, sorry, sorry! It\u2019s just been so long.\u2019 But we\u2019ll just crack each other up and just make jokes. I think that levity on set was needed, and I think people appreciate that, too. A lot of crew members laugh, and they always come up and say, \u2018We\u2019re glad we got the band back together.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The reason for Wyatt\u2019s return to Los Angeles will be revealed pretty quickly. \u201cWell, let\u2019s just say he\u2019s been going through a lot,\u201d teases Brooks. \u201cHe was summoned by his father for a reason that we\u2019ll find out on Wednesday, and he brings someone with him, which I think we all know who that person is going to be, Denise [Richards<\/a>, who plays Shauna Fulton], and I\u2019m excited to work with her as well. She\u2019s such a sweetheart, I love her to death. I\u2019ve known her for a long time, since the BMS<\/em> [Blue Mountain State<\/a><\/em>, in which they both appeared] days, so I love her. But he\u2019s back for a specific reason, for his dad and for Logan, and we\u2019ll find out what his big ask is. We\u2019ll see how it all unfolds, who it messes with, who it doesn\u2019t, who gets upset about it, who doesn\u2019t, and what relationships it gets to mess up.\u201d<\/p>\n Howard Wise\/jpistudios.com<\/p>\n<\/div>\n As for Flo, Wyatt\u2019s fianc\u00e9e, the audience will have to wait a bit longer to learn what happened between them. \u201cNot right away, but you will,\u201d Brooks promises.<\/p>\n Now that he\u2019s back in the swing of things, Brooks is looking forward to his second chapter at B&B<\/em> and is excited to execute the stories planned for Wyatt. \u201cI\u2019m always curious to see what Brad and the whole writing team comes up with,\u201d he says. \u201cI\u2019m excited to see where they want Wyatt to go and what\u2019s going to happen to him. What\u2019s going on in his current love life? What is going to happen to his current love life, and if he wants a love life or not? I don\u2019t know. We\u2019ll see where he is in his mindset.\u201d<\/p>\n Brooks admits he was touched by the enthusiastic fan response to his return. \u201cI thank everybody for being so supportive and loving the character, and saying such supportive things,\u201d he shares. \u201cI love the fans, and none of us actors would be anywhere without our fans in any show, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you all.\u201d<\/p>\n And with a nod to his memorable 2013 debut, he quips, \u201cI can\u2019t wait to see you all, and I hope you all can\u2019t wait to see me in all my glory.
