Cardi B<\/strong><\/a><\/span> wants to make it right with Latto<\/strong> after some public ups and downs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI truly understand how you feel\u2026and that\u2019s exactly why I chose to apologize publicly because the disrespect became public,\u201d Cardi, 33, wrote via X<\/span><\/a> on Thursday, June 4. \u201cI genuinely felt bad about what happened. In 2025 and 2026, I made multiple attempts to connect\u2026I spoke with your manager, your sister and even texted you directly to take full responsibility. I always had love and respect for you! I always wanted to make it right but making it right looks different for the both of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

In September 2025, Cardi dissed Latto, 27, in a leaked phone call<\/span><\/a> with Ice Spice<\/strong>‘s manager.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m not Latto. I’ma beat her the f*** up,” Cardi said about Ice Spice on the call. “You think I’m p**** ass Latto?”<\/p>\n

While Cardi quickly apologized on X<\/span><\/a>, Latto chose to reference the drama when she released her latest studio album, Big Mama<\/i>, on May 29. During an interview with The Breakfast Club<\/i><\/span><\/a>, Latto confirmed the song “Gimme Dat” is about Cardi.<\/p>\n

\u201cI rap about what\u2019s going on in my life and at the moment,\u201d Latto explained on the Wednesday, June 3, episode. \u201cI see all over the internet I\u2019m being called p****. I\u2019m pregnant, emotions are high.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Latto, she had a solid friendship with Cardi before she heard the audio leak.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe was on a texting basis. So I feel like, \u2018Yeah, you tweeted to the world, but we got each other number,’\u201d Latto explained. \u201cSo then probably like two months later, something like that, she did text me, but by that time I’m like, \u2018I’m not even thinking about that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Latto admitted that she hasn\u2019t spoken to Cardi since the record came out. After welcoming a baby girl<\/span><\/a> with rapper 21 Savage this spring, the \u201cPut It On Da Floor\u201d hitmaker said things are a little busy.<\/p>\n

In her latest social media post, Cardi reiterated that she \u201cdidn\u2019t mean any harm\u201d in her viral phone call. At the same time, she admitted it was a \u201cheated conversation and I let my mouth get the best of me.\u201d<\/p>\n
