This was my chance to be there and get a few points.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">\u201cAt this point of the year we\u2019re not expecting a win or a podium but we need to maximise sixth, seventh, fifth \u2013 little points along the way and they all add up. I\u2019m working hard, the team are working hard and we\u2019re just not getting rewarded. We\u2019re just being unlucky.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">\u201cSome of it\u2019s our fault, some of it\u2019s failures, some of it\u2019s just being unlucky. At the same time, we had a good weekend in Miami \u2013 the pace was strong and we could\u2019ve won a race. It\u2019s pretty nuts how up and down it is.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">\u201cIt shows how difficult it is to get the car in a good window and perform well every weekend, but it also shows just how difficult our car is. The fact we can be six tenths off and fight for a win is pretty impressive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">\u201cEveryone\u2019s working hard. The team are doing the best they can, as am I. We&#8217;re just getting unlucky so we\u2019re not being rewarded for good work and hard work. I know it\u2019s not for a win and stuff, like we got used to for the last couple of years, but I still have faith that we can get there through the course of the season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">\u201cWe have to keep chipping away. It just hurts to start a lot of races and not even finish. That\u2019s life sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"flex flex-col gap-rem-12 md:gap-rem-16 lg:gap-rem-24\">\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">In terms of results, his team mate Piastri experienced a smoother race in Monaco as he gained positions from unfortunate drivers further ahead to finish P4, adding 12 points to McLaren\u2019s tally.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">He was one of those to receive a penalty for speeding in the pit lane, but was able to serve it during a Safety Car period and avoid any further incidents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">\u201cWhen you make up three spots in <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" data-f1rd-a7s-click=\"rich_text_atom_click\" data-f1rd-a7s-context=\"eyJhY3Rpb25UeXBlIjoibW9uYWNvX2xpbmtfY2xpY2tlZCIsImNsaWNrVGV4dCI6dHJ1ZSwicGF0aCI6Imh0dHBzOi8vd3d3LmZvcm11bGExLmNvbS9lbi9sYXRlc3QvYXJ0aWNsZS9hbnRvbmVsbGktc2VjdXJlcy1icmlsbGlhbnQtdmljdG9yeS1pbi1jaGFvdGljLW1vbmFjby1ncmFuZC1wcml4LWFtaWQtbXVsdGlwbGUtc2hvY2stcmV0aXJlbWVudHMuMjdlNjQ0NTg2SzgzejBOWmQ2ZWZzeiIsInBhdGhUeXBlIjoiaW50ZXJuYWwifQ==\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/latest\/article\/antonelli-secures-brilliant-victory-in-chaotic-monaco-grand-prix-amid-multiple-shock-retirements.27e644586K83z0NZd6efsz\">Monaco<\/a>, that\u2019s always a good day, even if you didn\u2019t actually overtake anyone,\u201d Piastri said. \u201cHappy with that.
