\u201cWhat started as one film has grown over five decades into a global phenomenon.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Soon, <\/span>Ahsoka Tano<\/span><\/a> must face the most important question in her life: Is she a Jedi or not?<\/span><\/p>\n In a new teaser trailer for <\/span>Star Wars: Ahsoka<\/em><\/i><\/a> <\/em><\/i>Season 2, <\/span>Anakin Skywalker<\/span><\/a> (Hayden Christensen) challenges his former Padawan Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) amid the perils of <\/span>Grand Admiral Thrawn<\/span><\/a> (Lars Mikkelsen) and his return to rally the Imperial remnant. Luckily, Ahsoka is far from alone.<\/span><\/p>\n During the Disney Studio Showcase Panel at <\/span>D23<\/span><\/a>: <\/span>The Ultimate Disney Fan Event<\/span>, series creator and Lucasfilm President and Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni and the stars revealed the latest trailer and news that <\/span>Ahsoka <\/em><\/i>Season 2 will arrive on Disney+ this January 20, 2027. Premiering just one month ahead of the <\/span>Star Wars<\/em><\/i> theatrical re-release in celebration of the <\/span>50th anniversary of the film<\/span><\/a> that started it all, <\/span>Ahsoka<\/em><\/i> Season 2 is a fitting tribute to Filoni\u2019s love of the original <\/span>Star Wars<\/em><\/i> films and his work over the past 20 years in <\/span>Star Wars <\/em><\/i>animation and live action. <\/span>\u201cWhat started as one film has grown over five decades into a global phenomenon,” Filoni noted.<\/span><\/p>\n Joined by series stars Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, and Eman Esfandi (who reprises the role of <\/span>Ezra Bridger<\/span><\/a>) on a stage eerily enshrined in mist and carvings of the <\/span>Mortis<\/span><\/a> gods, the trio hinted at the exciting journey ahead.<\/span><\/p>\n As Ahsoka Tano, Dawson said Season 2 will showcase an even bigger story for her former Jedi. \u201cThis season is massive!\u201d she said. \u201cThe stakes are higher, the battles are bigger\u2026 and the threat of Thrawn looms large for Ahsoka, her crew, and the entire galaxy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Reprising the role of Anakin Skywalker, the teaser trailer shows Hayden Christensen training young Ahsoka (Ariana Greenblatt) and communicating with Dawson\u2019s adult version of the character. \u201cAs always, it\u2019s such an honor to play Anakin Skywalker,\u201d Christensen told the cheering crowd. \u201cAnakin continues to advise Ahsoka, he challenges her and pushes her to answer the most important question in her life – are you or are you not a Jedi?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n When we last saw Ezra, he had returned to his space mom <\/span>Hera Syndulla<\/span><\/a> (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). \u201cEzra is back! Ezra is home!\u201d Esfandi proclaimed. \u201cHe has reunited with his R<\/span>ebels<\/span> family and is fighting for <\/span>the New Republic<\/span><\/a> against the Imperial remnant.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
