Fortnite is about to get stuck into another update, and even though it has been delayed (from an already very early drop), there’s still a very big and powerful presence waiting on the other side.<\/p>\n

Fortnite has been dishing out excitement all over the place during the current season, especially now that its major Power Rangers collaboration seems to be coming to a head. The Dino Megazord is officially coming to the island, delivering with it a chance for your entire squad to pilot and control its immense power to thwart the bug queen and stomp through foes, and the chance to unlock it in the Shock ‘n Awesome Battle Pass<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The game has done a pretty good job of bringing players back, with the Shock \u2018n Awesome season not only delivering a host of new exciting weapons, but giving them some great objectives to complete as they wage war against the bug invasion that, to be fair, isn\u2019t quite as annoying as players feared it would be. It’s a miracle that Epic Games has been able to focus on it all while dismantling a cosmetic black market<\/a>, but it seems that it can keep on top of it all.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s more yet to come with a new update incoming, that has offered a very last minute time shift which has taken a number of players by surprise. So, when precisely can we expect the new patch to hit the game? Here\u2019s what you need to know about the release of the next Fortnite update.<\/p>\n

When is the next Fortnite update?<\/h3>\n

The next Fortnite update is set to release on Thursday, September 18 at 1am PDT \/ 4am EDT \/ 9am BST<\/strong>. The new date has been revealed by leaker @Hypex<\/a>, and the time is based on the start time of recent downtimes, like for update 37.20<\/a>(which was also pushed back from its original roll out date) and update 37.10<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The game\u2019s servers will restrict access half an hour ahead of the update\u2019s start time as usual, giving players the chance to finish the games they\u2019re already in.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s new in the next Fortnite update?<\/h3>\n

As this new update comes only a week after the last one, and the next one will be in three weeks time, it\u2019s currently relatively difficult to foresee what\u2019s on the way, but with the recent delay causing a knock-on effect with in-game content, there are a few features that we should have had already that will appear after this update.<\/p>\n
