It\u2019s been over two months since Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> played a competitive game of football which didn\u2019t end in defeat. It was hardly a surprise, then, when they swapped managers from V\u00edtor Pereira to former player Rob Edwards with the Welshman leaving Championship side Middlesbrough for Molineux.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The managerial switch to Edwards hasn\u2019t paid dividends so far, with his side losing back to back games without scoring to Crystal Palace and Aston Villa<\/a> respectively. Despite this, there was much to be positive about the most recent defeat as Wolves performed admirably at Villa Park; the hosts required a wonder strike from Boubacar Kamara to separate the two West Midlands sides.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

However, strong performances are not what they require, with the side sat bottom of the league on just two points without a win to their name. Heading into what will be their 14th attempt at victory on Wednesday, the Black Country team haven\u2019t experienced as bad a run of form since 2011-12 season where they were relegated from the Championship.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Their visitors have had a chaotic start to the season of their own. Already on their third manager of the season, Nottingham Forest<\/a> have undoubtably improved under Sean Dyche. Victory over 18th placed Leeds United was followed by a fantastic away performance away against Liverpool. The 3-0 drubbing of the Reds meant Dyche has engineered Forest\u2019s second, third and fourth victory of the season. The undoubted improvements from the Tricky Trees waned slightly with a home defeat to Brighton on Saturday afternoon. However, with Dyche picking up a respectable seven points from his first five Premier League<\/a> matches at the City Ground, it\u2019s not question that Forest have picked up the pieces from their disastrous start to the season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Another caveat to Wolves\u2019 horrendous season so far is their injury list that never seems to go down. Joining goalkeeper Daniel Bentley in the treatment room is defender Matt Doherty with a knee issue and Rodrigo Gomes who is still nursing a groin problem. Jhon Arias earned another Premier League<\/a> start at Villa Park on Sunday and impressed, leading Edwards to most likely include him once again in the starting XI.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As for Forest, a string of injuries still linger around the squad with striker Chris Wood and full back Oleksandr Zinchenko both out for the long term with a knee and muscle injury respectively. The Tricky Trees\u2019 options at the top of the pitch are limited with the continued absence of Taiwo Awoniyi, who provided much needed backup to Wood during last season where Forest finished seventh.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

After poor performances against Brighton last time out, Nicol\u00e1s Dom\u00ednguez and Dan Ndoye are expected to drop back to the bench as Dyche will shuffle the pack once again.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
