One of the key pillars of the Ghana national side that will face England amongst others at this summer\u2019s World Cup, Semenyo has already amassed 32 international caps for his country, featuring for his country at the 2022 World Cup finals.<\/p>\n
His route to the Etihad has been one underscored by hard work, resilience and a cast-iron belief in his ability, the very essence of the ethos instilled at City by Guardiola over the best part of a decade.<\/p>\n
It was during a loan spell at Newport in the 2018\/19 season where a teenage \u00a0Semenyo \u2013 who had begun his fledgling career as a central striker \u2013 was first regularly deployed out wide instead to impressive effect.<\/p>\n
Having helped the Welsh side to a notable FA Cup third round win over then Premier League outfit Leicester City, Semenyo was subsequently recalled by parent club Bristol City where he quickly established himself in the Championship side\u2019s squad, signing a new long-term contract in the summer of 2019.<\/p>\n
