The TLC reality series \u201cMy Strange Addiction\u201d has been going for shock and awe since it premiered in 2010.<\/p>\n
The show originally ended in 2015, but it was resurrected this month. Season 7 premiered on Jan. 7 \u2014 and the show\u2019s latest subject has fans freaking out. <\/p>\n
In an Instagram trailer<\/a> for the Wednesday, Jan. 21, episode, a woman named Cassy reveals her \u201cvabbing\u201d habit on a first date. Frustrated with her lack of romantic experience, Cassy has taken to applying her own vaginal fluids like perfume, hoping that her \u201cpheromones\u201d will attract a mate.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is definitely the most unusual date I\u2019ve been on in recent memory,\u201d Cassy\u2019s date told cameras after learning her secret.<\/p>\n Fans took to the comment section to express their shock.<\/p>\n \u201cTLC yall need to be arrested, now what time does the full episode air?\u201d one person quipped.<\/p>\n \u201cSomeone call the police,\u201d another wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cI just gagged on my lunch at my work desk. Thanks!\u201d a third viewer chimed in. <\/p>\n Long before introducing viewers to Cassy, \u201cMy Strange Addiction\u201d featured a woman who compulsively ate her late husband\u2019s ashes, a man who was in a \u201cserious relationship\u201d with his car<\/a>, and a woman who was addicted to sniffing gasoline<\/a>. Everything was either scripted, guided, or I was plopped into a situation that I did not want to be in,\u201d Lauren wrote. <\/p>\n \u201cThey approached me with the intention of this being a show about \u2018Odd and unique hobbies,\u2019 which pulled me in. Otherwise, I never would have gone onto a show called \u2018My Strange Addiction\u2019 and put either myself or furries in a horrible light,\u201d she continued. \u201cThey absolutely had me act differently, and often fed me lines.\u201d <\/p>\n Another \u201cMy Strange Addiction\u201d alum named Carrie claimed that she participated \u201cin shots that were not honest\u201d in a 2019 YouTube video<\/a>. If I knew what was going to be done to the footage I gave, I would not have agreed to do it. The show made it look like my daughters didn\u2019t believe in me or urine therapy. This was a blatant misuse of the truth.\u201d <\/p>\n Carrie and Lauren\u2019s stories suggest that at least some episodes of \u201cMy Strange Addiction\u201d are stretching the truth.
