The company in 2023 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2023\/apr\/18\/fox-dominion-settle-us-defamation-lawsuit\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">settled for $787.5m <\/a>with <strong>Fox News<\/strong> in a landmark defamation lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">For two seconds, the video shows the smiling faces of the Obamas superimposed on monkeys bobbing to \u201cThe Lion Sleeps Tonight\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">As of Friday morning, the video has been liked more than 2,500 times and reposted more than 1,100 times, as prominent Democrats decried the post.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">\u201cDisgusting behavior by the President. Every single Republican must denounce this. Now,\u201d said the press office of California governor <strong>Gavin Newsom<\/strong>, a longtime Trump critic and potential 2028 Democratic presidential candidate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">\u201cThis is overt racism. Full stop. There\u2019s no \u2018misinterpretation\u2019 and no excuse.
