The stolen information may include names, addresses, social security numbers, dates of birth, medical information, and health insurance information.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"RO3J3TKULRHN7OC3T5X6TTWK5Y\">\u201cTo date, there is no evidence that any underlying data has been misused, posted, or made publicly available, and we continue to monitor closely,\u201d the company said in a statement sent to NJ.com. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"3G2FAUO52JESRJ5IT2HHKGRMNE\">It\u2019s unclear exactly how many people were affected, but it\u2019s \u201ca significant number,\u201d according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1677703\/000167770325000067\/cndt-20250409.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1677703\/000167770325000067\/cndt-20250409.htm\">disclosure form<\/a> filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"7JYO52V6X5A5XCPQWKZ3OIABHI\">The full scope and scale of the cyberattack is still being determined but it includes millions of people nationwide. A <a href=\"https:\/\/justice.oregon.gov\/consumer\/databreach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer\" title=\"https:\/\/justice.oregon.gov\/consumer\/databreach\/\">consumer protection alert<\/a> from the Oregon Department of Justice reports that 10.5 million individuals were affected in the breach. A letter sent to the New Hampshire Attorney General\u2019s office reports nearly 11,000 affected residents in the Granite State. Down in Texas, state officials claim the cyberattack exposed 4 million residents. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"T5S46GY2B5DCXKEMFRTXCI3Q4A\">It\u2019s unclear if any New Jerseyans were impacted. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"7POI5TTDPFBQTDTNVRJGKBKPFI\">Conduent, a spin-off of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.news.xerox.com\/news\/Xerox-completes-separation-of-Conduent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer\" title=\"https:\/\/www.news.xerox.com\/news\/Xerox-completes-separation-of-Conduent\">Xerox<\/a>, is a publicly traded company that offers mailroom, payment, and other business support services. According to its website, Conduent works with nearly half of Fortune 100 companies and more than 600 government and transportation agencies. Among its clients are Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"U3OFNQET2FEMPMUAO72H2ZSWYQ\">Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced last week his office was investigating the Conduent data breach. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"AN2ZH6Z3ZNCIDB6S2D67SOVHNY\">\u201cThe Conduent data breach was likely the largest breach in U.S. history. If any insurance giant cut corners or has information that could help us prevent breaches like this in the future, I will work to uncover it,\u201d said Paxton in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasattorneygeneral.gov\/news\/releases\/attorney-general-ken-paxton-demands-information-blue-cross-blue-shield-texas-and-conduent-part\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/www.texasattorneygeneral.gov\/news\/releases\/attorney-general-ken-paxton-demands-information-blue-cross-blue-shield-texas-and-conduent-part\">a press release<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"NOX6E3WJV5GFJEWF5P5OHN7U6Y\">In a statement sent to NJ.com, Conduent said it would comply with investigators.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"GKS6OGMMN5G65G3EITE3QHMLNU\">\u201cWe look forward to working cooperatively with the Texas Attorney General\u2019s Office to provide the relevant information, consistent with our longstanding practice of constructive engagement with regulators,\u201d the company said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"Q2DVIVHZFZFOZBX3ASAC7HZNXU\">There\u2019s also a pending class action lawsuit against Conduent in New Jersey federal court stemming from the data breach.
