THIS SETS THE STAGE FOR POSSIBLE SEVERE WEATHER. NOTICE THE DEW POINT UP TO 58. IT FEELS A LITTLE MUGGY OUT THERE. SO WARM, HUMID CONDITIONS AND A COLD FRONT ON THE WAY MEANS THE RISK OF SEVERE STORMS GOES UP. IT\u2019S NOT A GUARANTEE THAT IT\u2019S GOING TO HAPPEN. NOTICE WE\u2019RE IN THE LEVEL TWO SCATTERED ISOLATED STORMS POSSIBLE THAT LEVEL TWO RISK DOES MEAN THAT YOU KNOW IT\u2019S BETTER. IT\u2019S HIGHER THAN THE 0% CHANCE, BUT IT\u2019S ONLY SCATTERED ACTIVITY EXPECTED. AND IT\u2019S PRIMARILY NORTH AND WEST. NOW THE THE RISK OF A TORNADO DEVELOPING IN SOME OF THESE STORMS IS ONLY 5%. BUT THAT IS ELEVATED JUST A LITTLE BIT. THAT 5% RISK IS UP. YOU CAN LOOK AT IT THE OTHER WAY, 95% CHANCE THAT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD DOESN\u2019T SEE A TORNADO. BUT WE\u2019LL BE ON THE LOOKOUT AS SOME STORMS POSSIBLY COULD DEVELOP. NOTICE THE TORNADO WATCH IN EFFECT FROM HAGERSTOWN WEST. THIS IS THE PRIME AREA FOR STORMS TO DEVELOP INTO SEVERE LEVEL WITH DAMAGING WINDS, HAIL AND MAYBE AN ISOLATED TORNADO OUT IN THOSE AREAS. THERE\u2019S BEEN SOME BANDS OF SHOWERS AND STORMS AND SOME LIGHTNING STRIKES, BUT NO SEVERE WEATHER REPORTED RIGHT NOW, AS THAT LINE OF SHOWERS TRIES TO MOVE EAST OF THE MOUNTAINS. THAT\u2019S THE BIG QUESTION MARK. IT\u2019S NOT A GUARANTEE, BUT SOME OF THOSE STORMS COULD SURVIVE THE TREK OVER THE MOUNTAINS INTO THE WARM, MUGGY AIR AROUND BALTIMORE. AND THAT\u2019S WHY WE HAVE AT LEAST A SLIGHT CHANCE THAT A THUNDERSTORM WOULD DEVELOP INTO A SEVERE STORM. TEMPERATURES ARE STILL IN THE 80S, SO WE ARE PRIMED FOR THAT. AND UNTIL THAT COLD FRONT CAN GET THROUGH, WHICH ISN\u2019T UNTIL TOMORROW MORNING, THE RISK OF A SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM WILL BE THERE. THAT\u2019S A SIGNIFICANT COLD FRONT. ONCE IT GOES BY, WINTER IS GOING TO TRY TO MAKE A BIT OF A COMEBACK. THERE\u2019S THE SHOWERS ON FUTURECAST AT SEVEN AND AGAIN, AN ISOLATED STORM IS POSSIBLE IN THERE NORTH OF BALTIMORE BY 10 P.M. A FEW SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS. AND THEN AS WE HEAD INTO THURSDAY MORNING, IT\u2019S JUST RAIN AND 60, BUT THE TEMPERATURES WILL BE FALLING AND THAT RAIN COULD MIX WITH SNOW AS TEMPERATURES FALL INTO THE 30S THURSDAY AFTERNOON. AND THEN THE WHOLE SYSTEM MOVES OFF THE COAST THURSDAY NIGHT. SO THE FORECAST IS FOR ISOLATED SEVERE STORMS, MAINLY NORTH AND WEST OF BALTIMORE THIS EVENING, THEN RAIN OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES FALLING FROM THE 60S IN THE MORNING TOMORROW INTO THE 30S. AND THE RAIN COULD MIX WITH SOME WET SNOW. DO NOT BE SURPRISED IF YOU SEE SOME SNOW IN THE AREA TOMORROW AS THAT COLDER AIR MOVES IN. SEVEN DAY FORECAST.
