\n\tRamy Youssef<\/a> has set his third HBO<\/a> comedy special.<\/p>\n \n\tPremiering on April 17, \u201cRamy Youssef: In Love\u201d was filmed at the Hideout in Chicago and directed by \u201cThe Bear\u201d creator Chris Storer. The official logline for the special states that Youssef \u201cplayfully engages with the audience as he\u00a0approaches a vast spectrum of\u00a0personal\u00a0topics, both hilariously relatable and genuinely serious, all while doing so with the belief that you can find light and hope in all things if you just try to see them through a lens of love.\u00a0Whether\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0his marriage,\u00a0being a\u00a0dog\u00a0parent,\u00a0AI, or religion, Ramy comes at everything with his own brand of heart and humor.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn a trailer for the special, a narrator says, \u201cHe\u2019s the most famous comedian to not do the Saudi comedy festival.\u201d Onstage, Youssef says, \u201cI didn\u2019t do that, because I wasn\u2019t invited. My wife, her whole family\u2019s in Saudi. I go there anyway. I\u2019m the only guy in Hollywood that loses<\/em> money going to Saudi Arabia.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn another joke, he discusses the use of AI on social media. \u201cYou guys are seeing what\u2019s happening on Grok? Any picture of any woman, they\u2019re turning it into porn,\u201d he says. \u201cI thought of one defense. Really, the only thing that could help would be if all women wore all black, but only through the eyes \u2014\u201d he trails off as the audience laughs, understanding his reference to the niqaab, a face covering garment worn by some Muslim women. \u201cFor years, I\u2019ve been going, \u2018Why do they make them wear that?\u2019 And now, it\u2019s become clear. This was a prophecy.\u201d In an Egyptian accent, he continues, \u201c\u2018Salma! I will never let them Grok you!’\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tYoussef\u2019s first HBO special \u201cFeelings\u201d debuted in 2019, followed by \u201cMore Feelings\u201d in 2024. Besides stand-up, he is best known for his comedy series \u201cRamy,\u201d which ran on Hulu for three seasons from 2019 to 2022. He is also the co-creator of Mo Amer\u2019s Netflix series \u201cMo,\u201d which ran for two seasons from 2022 to 2025, and the creator of the Amazon Prime Video animated comedy \u201c#1 Happy Family USA,\u201d which premiered in 2025, and in which he also voice acts. In 2023, he starred in Yorgos Lanthimos\u2019 film \u201cPoor Things,\u201d and in 2025, he starred in Jesse Armstrong\u2019s HBO film \u201cMountainhead.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cRamy Youssef: In Love\u201d is produced by Youssef\u2019s Cairo Cowboy banner and is written and executive produced by Youssef.
