PORTLAND, Ore. — Marine Johannès can often be her own harshest critic.

It’s something she’s actively working on: staying even-keeled through the inevitable ups and downs of the season.

She wants her mindset and her play to be consistent.

The Liberty coaches and her teammates know how fluctuating her confidence can be. So when Johannès started to pick apart her 17-point performance in Thursday’s season opener, Breanna Stewart chimed in to remind her, “You made five 3s.”
