Two people critically injured in I-295 East crash near Dames Point Bridge: JFRD

The Florida Highway Patrol said all lanes were blocked as first responders helped the victims and investigated the crash.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A multi-car crash that shut down all lanes of I-295 East Thursday morning left two people in critical condition, according to the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash was reported at 9:53 a.m. Thursday, resulting in closures at Heckscher Drive.
Westbound traffic was also impacted as first responders directed eastbound traffic through the median.
JFRD said it transported two adult victims to a hospital for treatment.
