Florida State will begin its ACC Tournament run today, facing off against the Pittsburgh Panthers in the quarterfinals (3 p.m., ACC Network).
The Seminoles, who are the No. 3 seed, swept the Panthers in the regular season. Pitt took down No. 11 Louisville on Tuesday and No. 6 Wake Forest on Wednesday to advance to the quarterfinal.
FSU (38-16) has worked its way back into the conversation for a top-eight national seed in the NCAA Tournament and is hoping to strengthen its case to earn one — and the program’s first ACC Tournament championship since 2018 — in Charlotte.
ACC Pitcher of the Year Wes Mendes will get the start on the mound for Florida State while Pitt has yet to announce a starter.
