‘Daredevil: Born Again’ stars feel ‘kind of like brothers’
Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio joke about Daredevil and Kingping’s dynamic in season 2 of “Daredevil: Born Again.”
Get ready, Marvel fans! Season 2 of “Daredevil: Born Again” continues this week.
According to USA TODAY, the “Daredevil” reboot follows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer who not only fights for justice in court but also uses his heightened abilities to fight New York City crime by night.
The new season centers on the escalating conflict between Murdock and his longtime adversary, Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), also known as the Kingpin, a former mob boss who decides to pursue political office as the newly elected mayor.
Here’s everything to know about season 2 of “Daredevil: Born Again,” including how to watch.
New episodes of “Daredevil: Born Again” drop weekly on Tuesdays, with the season finale slated for May 5. Episodes 2 and 3 were released on March 31. People reports that a special presentation episode will also air May 12.
Here’s a look at the cast of “Daredevil: Born Again” season 2, according to Forbes.
The new season also includes Matthew Lillard and Lili Taylor, according to TV Guide.
According to Screen Rant, D’Onofrio said, in response to a fan on X, that Jon Bernthal won’t return as the Punisher in season 2 of the series because the actor was “busy” starring in a Disney+ television special and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”
However, the site adds the Punisher’s story, which left off with his escape from Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante Task Force, will continue with an hour-long Disney+ special, titled “Punisher: One Last Kill,” on May 12.
“Punisher: One Last Kill” is scheduled to air May 12, one week after the “Daredevil: Born Again” season 2 finale on May 5, Variety writes.
Mathew Lillard, known for his roles in “Scream” and the “Scooby-Doo” franchise, is the actor playing Mr. Charles, a new character that entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe during the season 2 premiere of “Daredevil: Born Again.”
According to Screen Rant, Mr. Charles is a “powerful figure” in the MCU and was sent from Langley to New York by his boss, Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, to “help Fisk clean up the public disaster so that she can continue using his port.”
However, the site adds Mr. Charles might not be Lillard’s real identity in the show, as the character is only mentioned in a single issue of the comics. Instead, the name could be used to cover up the character’s true identity, which could be a “much bigger deal for comics readers,” Screen Rant writes.
