Say goodbye to one of the most beloved TV series of the 21st century.
Netflix is removing “Prison Break” seasons 1-5 this month. The exact date of departure is January 29th, 2026.
The series, which first aired on Fox in 2005, follows two incarcerated brothers. In it, Michael (Wentworth Miller) attempts to help his brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) escape from death row and clear his name for a crime he didn’t commit.

Season 1 of “Prison Break” gave Fox its highest ratings for almost a decade, attracting an average audience of ten million viewers each week. In fact, “Prison Break” performed so well, its original 13-episode run was extended to 22 episodes.
There’s no word on whether Netflix will add the show back again in the future, so it may be the last chance to watch it for quite a while. However, all is not lost.
For viewers with a Disney+ subscription, the show is currently available to watch in its five-season entirety.
Here’s everything else leaving Netflix in January 2026.
