Due to an increased risk of fire damage, a Red Flag Warning will go into effect on Monday throughout South Florida, the National Weather Service said.
According to the NWS, Miami-Dade and Broward counties will be under the Red Flag Warning.
The Red Flag will take effect on Monday at 9 a.m. and will end at 7 p.m.
A Red Flag Warning is issued when critical fire weather conditions are currently happening or will soon be.
When gusty winds and low humidity are expected, a red flag warning may be issued. This means fire danger is great, with an increased probability of a fire quickly spreading out of control.
The most recent Red Flag Warning was issued on April 12, 2025, after previously being issued during the weeklong 344 Wildfire in the Florida Keys.
