There are six groups of three teams, who play each other in a round robin format. Three groups will play in Perth and three in Sydney.
Each tie consists of three matches played on the same day – one men’s singles, one women’s singles and one mixed doubles. Singles matches are the best of three tie-break sets. Mixed doubles matches are the best of two tie-break sets with a deciding 10-point tie-break at one set all.
The top team from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, with one knockout spot also awarded to the best runner-up in both Perth and Sydney.
Winners will progress to the semi-finals and final, which are all held in Sydney.
