Daniel Radcliffe and Partner Erin Darke Have Rare Red Carpet Date Night at 2026 Tony Awards

Daniel Radcliffe made Tonys night a date night.

The actor, 36, stepped onto the red carpet at the 2026 Tony Awards alongside longtime partner Erin Darke. Radcliffe is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play for his turn in Every Brilliant Thing.

For his big night, Radcliffe wore a blue-gray tux with silver lapels and matching silver bow tie. Darke, 41, wore a flowing navy dress and carried a silver purse to match Radcliffe’s outfit.

In his category, Radcliffe is up against Will Harrison (Punch), Nathan Lane (Death of a Salesman), John Lithgow (Giant) and Mark Strong (Oedipus).

In Every Brilliant Thing, which started previews at the Hudson Theatre in February and currently stars Mariska Hargitay in her Broadway debut, is a heartwarming play that follows a man who looks back at his life and the many small joys that kept him going — told through a list of “every brilliant thing” that makes life worth living. The show relies heavily on audience participation with showgoers doing everything from reading one-word answers on cue to coming on stage as an impromptu cast member.

Radcliffe, who won a Tony Award in 2024 for Merrily We Roll Along, recently told PEOPLE that being able to run around the theater before the show to greet the audience and find people to be part of the show with him is what makes the show so special.

“There’s something really liberating about just running around and being like, ‘Hey, I’m Dan. Nice to meet you,’ ” Radcliffe shared.

“Most of the time, if I’m in a room full of 1,000 people, I am hat on, mask on, trying to lay low,” he continued. “There’s something really freeing and fun about just being able to run around and recruit people for the show.”

Radcliffe and Darke met in 2012 while playing love interests in the movie Kill Your Darlings. The English actor later revealed that he wasn’t acting when they filmed together because his flirting was actually real.

“It’ll be a hell of a story to tell our kids one day because of what our characters do with each other,” Radcliffe told PEOPLE in 2019. “Our characters are meeting and flirting with each other, so there is this kind of sweet record of us just meeting for the first time and flirting.”

The couple welcomed a a baby boy in 2023.
